On Friday, September 22nd, at 3:00 PM, in CLAV-Anf-1, the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Control at ICT will host a seminar/workshop on Interdisciplinarity in Engineering and Design. We cordially invite members of the academic community to join us for this event.
Abstract:
The concepts of science, engineering and design will be explored and discussed under the research, creativity and innovation lens. The importance of collaborative and participatory activities, transdisciplinary and open dialogues, communication and user-centred design approaches to go from invention to innovation will be highlighted. Different case studies will show how R&D+i activities under this framework spark creativity, ensure knowledge transfer and facilitate innovative, sustainable and affordable solutions with social impact. In this context, the workshop will also focus on the Engineering & Design joint approach to emerging societal challenges, envisaging future collaboration scenarios and joint ventures
