Member of the Panel Portugal Towards Brasilia, a group created by the Portuguese Government to prepare the participation of Portugal in the World Water Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, in March 2018, after attending the World Forum of Water in South Korea in 2015, attending two UNESCO sessions, one of them for the presentation of the new world map of aquifers.

Hydrogeological cartography and survey; Geophysical prospecting (geoelectrical methods and VLF); Mechanical exploration and groundwater abstraction; Flow tests and interpretation; Groundwater hydrochemistry; Quality and contamination of groundwater; Ecosystems dependent on groundwater; Governance of groundwater.
