Helena Moura (ICT, Polo UP) and Noel Moreira (ICT, Polo UE) won, ex aequo, the Young Researcher Prize in the XIV Congress of Geochemistry of Portuguese Speaking Countries and XIX Geochemistry Week, held in UTAD (Vila Real, Portugal), 25-29 March 2018. Ana Marta Gonçalves won the Young Researcher Prize in the XI Iberian Congress of Geochemistry and the XII National Congress of Geochemistry of Spain, Andalusia, Spain, 25-28 September 2017. Paula Alexandra Gonçalves won Montepio prize –  The Lisbon Academy of Sciences awarded, in 2016, the first Montepio Prize (which distinguishes excellence in scientific research developed in PhD thesis in Portuguese universities, in the area of Exact and Natural Sciences) to Paula Alexandra Gonçalves, from the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto, for her PhD thesis entitled “Characterization of organic facies and identification of potencial source rocks in in Jurassic sedimentary sequences of the Lusitanian basin”.
