In particular, we encourage works that cover topics such as 1) forward modeling of large synthetic ground motion datasets; 2) earthquake source mechanism from full waveform inversion; 3) moment tensor inversion of micro-earthquakes; 4) static and dynamic triggering phenomena, induced seismicity and earthquake cycles; 5) rapid determination of source parameters based on waveforms and geodetic data; 6) characterization of finite fault rupture processes as geometry, directivity, rupture velocity anisotropy.<\/span><\/p>\n
In summary, this Special Issue aims to provide a further understanding of the recent physical models and the methods and the techniques that allows a robust imaging of the earthquake source as the basis for interpretation of earthquakes with respect to the causative faults and the tectonic systems.
