{"id":1533,"date":"2019-12-02T15:37:34","date_gmt":"2019-12-02T15:37:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icterra.pt\/?page_id=1533"},"modified":"2022-10-10T14:53:15","modified_gmt":"2022-10-10T14:53:15","slug":"history-and-aims-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.icterra.pt\/legacy\/index.php\/history-and-aims-2\/","title":{"rendered":"History and Aims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">History<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">ICT is a new research unit created in 2014 with members that were previously associated to the Centre of Geology of University of Porto (CGUP) and to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icterra.pt\/index.php\/memoria-historia\/\">\u00c9vora Geophysics Centre (CGE).<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">According with FCT 2018 evaluation, ICT score is \u201cVery Good\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The ICT is fully committed with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030) and with the Portuguese regional strategies for Smart Specialization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Aims<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1. To contribute for the development of scientific research and national scientific poly in the earth sciences domain;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2. To develop programmes and projects of scientific research and technological progress;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3. To cooperate with other institutions through scientific exchanges;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4. To publicise the results obtained by the research and by the technological development;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">5. To develop training of young researchers at the post-graduation level;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ds9\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">6.
